把握難得回到先發機會，林書豪昨11投6中，攻下19分、送出7次助攻，無奈防線潰堤，117比127不敵雷霆，本季交手3次全敗，且吞下跨季對戰6連敗。
這是林書豪相隔25場比賽之後再次以先發球員身分出賽，一上場就先以三分球破網揭開序幕，接著又3次得手，單節攻下9分，次節，林書豪接獲克拉克生傳球後馬上飆進三分球，該節進帳7分，光是上半場就攻下16分。
較可惜的是，林書豪在第3節沒有任何出手紀錄，只靠罰球再添2分，決勝節追分時期，林書豪1投失手，2罰中1，全場表現不俗，可惜下半場只出手1次，少了些霸氣。
反倒是首次與林書豪搭檔先發的克拉克生，19投12中，貢獻30分、4籃板、7助攻、3阻攻，得分和阻攻都是生涯新高。
克拉克生成為湖人隊史近30年來第一位能在單場30分、4籃板、7助攻、3阻攻的菜鳥球員，也是繼「海軍上將」羅賓森、「一分錢」哈達威、希爾、歐登與艾文斯之後，聯盟近30年來第6個能打出這樣數據的新秀。
對於後場新組合，林書豪表示，我們兩人都可以控球也能持球進攻，這就是雙控衛的優勢，而且這樣的模式能混淆對手，進而從中達到突襲效果。
克拉克生則認為，面對進攻火力強大的雷霆，全隊都已盡力，可惜沒能堅持到最後。至於能與雷霆主將韋斯布魯克同場飆分，克拉克生表示，全身充滿活力，感覺實在太棒了。
由於布瑟和喬丹希爾兩人缺陣，湖台北辦公文具用品人籃板比對手少了21個（28比49），加上雷霆投籃命中率高達55.8%，整場比賽一路挨打，寫下湖人本季失分第3高的比賽。
湖人教頭史考特為處理母親喪事，此役將兵符交給助教普萊西，他說，對手以身高優勢狂打我方禁區，在內線被攻下66分的情況下很難贏得勝利。
