芝加哥小熊隊打破魔咒，贏得睽違108年的美國職棒大聯盟(MLB)世界大賽冠軍，伊利諾州出身的美國總統歐巴馬也為這支老家球隊感到高興，並邀請小熊隊球員在他卸任前造訪白宮。
根據美聯社報導，小熊隊美國時間2日晚間在世界大賽決勝第七戰拼到延長賽，才在延長賽第10局以8比7力克克里夫蘭印第安人，打破魔咒，贏得自1908年以來首度冠軍，歐巴馬隨即在3日清晨透過推特提出這項邀請。
歐巴馬雖然並非小熊隊球迷，但是芝加哥位於歐巴馬出身的伊利諾州，因此他仍為小熊隊奪冠感到高興。
不過，明年1月中歐巴馬就要卸任，因此小熊隊員如果要應邀走訪白宮，得要趕快安排行桯。
